Occupying all of the southeast end of the main building on the second floor, this suite has seven windows to let in the morning sun. The suite has a king sleigh bed, full bath with separate shower and in the sitting room, you will find a love seat that opens into a twin bed.
The Phelps Room
The Phelps Room is named in honor of Francis and Harlan Phelps, brothers who were innkeepers from 1865 to 1903 and who purchased the building for $1,700. Harlan was arguably The Tavern’s first benefactor. When he returned from the California Gold Rush with $4,500, he added the third floor and the porches to the building.
